Is it me?

So i am not understanding something....If 14 months ago, New Orleans had a scenario of almost just such a disaster in their disaster management program, why were we not prepared? If the President knew to declare those states in states of Emergency ahead of the storm, why didnt they also mobilize support, supplies and volunteers/troops at the same time? Why do we have the time, money and people to waste over in Iraq, but not in our own country. This doesnt make sense me. I also dont understand why we can spend so much money as a country on such frivolous things, but we cant see the sense in actually having an emergency fund that has enough money to be useful. WHat about all the rich people of the world? DO we still think they deserve all those tax breaks? THey should be HEAVILY taxed and that money put into something actually worth while. I am so sick of our government and the people who support it. I love our country, dont get me wrong. I like being an American. I support our troops. THey arent the ones making decisions. Its the people making all the decisions and who are in office that i have no respect for becuase they suck at their jobs. I also have pretty negative feelings for all the people who keep blindly voting these sorts of people into office. ANd if its not blind voting, then i just dont like those sorts of people. Our president is doing a wonderful job at one thing: Sucking at being president. Lets fire him PLEASE!
